That said, we generally recommend having around $25,000 or more in available trading capital if you want to apply the strategies in a way that gives you more flexibility with stock selection and position sizing.

Because one standard options contract typically represents 100 shares, smaller accounts can be more limited in the stocks and setups they can realistically trade.

You can still learn and use the OTA framework with less capital, but around $25,000 is where the strategies begin to make more practical sense for many traders.
